  • Hi , I went through active treatment (Chemo and Radiotherapy) back in 2013/2014! I too had clear nodes on ultrasound but they were positive when removed. Although I had more positive nodes than your mum. CT and Bone scan at that point were clear! However because I was only 38yrs old and had positive nodes Chemo was required!
As I said EVERYONES treatment is different as we are all individuals! Your mum will have what ever treatment is right for her age, her type of cancer and also what she wants! It’s her body and her choice!
Don’t feel guilty about not being there for everyone! You can only do so much. Do you have siblings? Are they able to help out too? Try not to take too much on. Remember your mum is probably worried about you as much as you are about her!

  •  lovely to see you back, but sorry to her about the ongoing fatigue and your knee. I think the exercises will help. About walking Bella, you cannot give up things that you love and it does not help your knee if you don’t exercise at all, and walking help s your general health.

, lovely photo. Sorry you have such a long journey for chemo, but I’m sure your new GP is right.

sorry you are still struggling. So agree about the cavalier attitude to covid here, but as  says, you can go out with extra precautions. Xxx

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

  • Welcome  xxx

  • Dyeing my hair yesterday pm was rather traumatic. I had just got the pink stuff on my hair, with sticky gloved hands, no clothes on, when Amazon came! I had to go to the bedroom, open the curtain a crack, trying not to get pink everywhere, and shout out the window for him to leave it on the porch. Then a spider came down towards my head and I got some of the pink on my eyelid, fortunately missing my eye. I ejected the spider through the window and managed to get the pink off my eye. Whewwww. Xxx

  • Oh goodness, what a saga, glad you didn’t get any in your eye!
Hope you’re happy with the resultant colour?

    hugs xxx

  • Don’t worry  I have NO intention of not walking Bella BUT I will try and walk on soft surfaces and try and sit down and rest knee before it gets too sore Wink Also going to try and start swimming again or at least some exercises in the pool. Xxx

  • Oh that was soooo funny!I had to laugh!

I was the same yesterday my Ocado man and GP rang at the same time and I was busy filling my freezer with my one treat (mini icecream)so that they wouldn’t melt,at the same time as the lovely GP was trying to listen to my symptoms. When I got to the Minor injuries I was sat there for an hour in silence and as soon as the nurse was listening to my symptoms my phone went mad and I couldn’t turn it off!

I had cracked my toe sillyold thing.

(All well that ends well and no great damage done)

She was a great GP she wouldn’t be cowed by my reticence to go.

Watching the Chelsea Flower Show has inspired me and I managed an art installation with some cards I bought at Wisley….

  • Talking of Chelsea.....I just finished planting 60 pansies. Lidl's offer of 3 for 2 was too tempting when 1 was a barquet of 10 plants !  I bought 2 lots and had a lot of work this afternoon. I don't know how the price compares to UK because I am out of touch but I paid 8€ for 60 pansies....So about £6.90.

The Autumn crocuses are out now. Very difficult to photo.

  •  I loved the wedding photo, so beautiful xx

you crack me up, singing your way through procedures. Dyeing your hair pink whilst naked Heartpulse

glad you have turned that corner. If you ever come to Blackpool for the illuminations stay at the Sheraton and I will come and have a coffee with you. To celebrate that treatment is over xxx

regarding the fear of covid whilst in a hotel etc. The thing is I nursed the covid patients before we had the vaccine. I remember an old guy coughing all over me as I got him ready for hospital. It was a small room with no windows. I remember going into the Red Zone where nearly every patient had the disease to give out medicines. And I never contracted the disease. So I think why will I catch it now off healthy people when I have had 2 vaccines. I wish you could have a holiday my dear, its not fair, you need to get that tent out again  and make us all laugh.

good luck with the WW I don't like to think of you being weighed publicly xxx

  • What do you think though of those G.P.s who won't  see anyone who coughs, as reported in Daily Telegraph today ?  I went for Physio today; next door to a Dr's surgery in another town to where I live. My man was just wearing a mask, but the other two Physiotherapists had both masks and plastic visors on. Clerical staff not wearing masks but behind a sealed screen. G.P. Surgery still not open. I'm not complaining about my own G.P. as I asked for and was given a face to face appt with him as I wanted to be referred for some Physio. Then I cancelled it as I heard from Physio Dept in the end after a long delay. Apparently many cancer patients' tumours have developed to the point (stage 4) where they can now do nothing, due to the fact G.P.s refused to see anyone. I consider myself so lucky as spotted on screening (stage 2-3) and one breast stage 1 but multifocal. A mammogram unit (lorry thing) has been in our local Sainsburys car park since January 2021 and still seeing people.
