.
Hi sorry to hear you’re awake in the wee small hours, hopefully you managed to get some sleep before your oncology appointment today. Waiting for results is awful, our brains start to make up the worst stories which can keep us awake. Once you have a treatment plan most of us find that really helps as you have something to work towards and can start ticking off the steps.
Once I started my chemo I tried to take it a day at a time and just see how I felt which really helped me. Finding some relaxation or mindfulness you like can help anxiety as it’s a bit of a rollercoaster emotionally. When I started in January it seemed like a mountain to climb…I’ve had 6 x chemo and my last radiotherapy is today…it’s hard some days but it is doable. Take any meds they give you for side effects as they really do help. Best wishes for your treatment and hoping your results are good today.
Wishing you all peace and calm in the storm...with a helping of laughter and joy to bring healing ️
Thankyou I received a text from Dr's so called them and they said Dr is phoning about liver level results Thursday but have managed to bring it forward to this morning I feel so sick. They assured me if it was anything urgent they would call today but they equally said if there wasn't anything then they wouldn't call.
I thought I was doing okay this morning and now I really can't breathe again!
WhatHappened…I recognise the symptoms !And I,too, hope GodWillingis ok xx
Northernerthatbis such a nice description-nice to meet her ….and sorry I didn’t even get a bite!!
I have been to Harrogate on a secret day out and want to say…having even a day away does us so much good!!Everyone on the trip was happy, friendly, and over happy to get out after so long in Lockdown!!
had such a lovely time.
it had been booked for a while and I will pop on a video and one or two interesting items …
Just to see Poppy’s on the roadside and horses in the field resting their necks on each other…I was beside myself..my twin phoned me up and I was saying “Ooo!there are poppies in the field!ooo there are horses!”He couldn’t believe I hadn’t been far from my home town for a year and a half nearly!!
Oh I LOVED it!!xxx

Vein finder? Northerner?xx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Yesseaspirit44 I didn't take photo but Venicelagoon has obliged thank you I asked my sister who works in same hospital and she didn't know about it . Think she might be visiting chemo unit to investigate.
After years of difficulty giving blood and getting bloods done ...plus since chemo almost impossible to find vein I want one in every dept / ward
I'm sure everyone's fed up with hearing about my haematoma being the biggest haematoma the Radiologist had ever seen.......which had to be drained in a second op.Anaesthetist couldn't get the canula in as he said the vein jumped out of his way because he was trying to get the canula in the same one used in op about a week before. He could have done with that natty little machine.
Ha, Venicelagoon, I got taken back to theatre within 30 hours of my mx as I’d bled, even bled under the implant, whole op had to be re-done! (The night staff had insisted I had a blood thinning injection as well as wearing those lovely stockings, that got promptly written into my notes that I wasn’t to have another! Have to say by the time I got wheeled to theatre the pressure really had built up.
So you’re not the only one, in fact my surgeon said it only seems to happen to the nicest people!
Hugs xxx

If they had to redo it all, let's hope they managed to get a good result. At least we know we've had an internal (and free) re-check on progress !
My mx was in 2018 so it’s doing ok so far! Scar is a touch hefty in one place but I can cope with that
