I'm a member of a great local facebook page where you offer things for free and first to comment/ask for gets them an arrange collection. Today I've had collected about 20 cut glass glasses. Life is too short for posh glasses rarely used, can't go in dishwasher and as I have solid floors throughout downstairs if I drop one they smash to pieces that glint at me for weeks! I am waiting for the lady to come collect a children's garden table & chair. Tomorrow I'm off to my favourite charity shop which is actually a church hall and they support loads of local charities and pass some items direct to women's aid. I can even take new, unopened make up, hair dye etc. as they give to beauty therapist who does pamper sessions for those who need a pamper. After my sister in law died found a cupboard full of new or nearly new shoes which we found odd as she was housebound!! The lady almost cried when I took in the black bags full! I'm also annoyed that other charity shops I used to support have gone so expensive. The price jumps are huge.
@Moomy I'm keeping abreast of your hubby and your journey.
@Whatshappened & nice to see you back.

To all the others that I'm too scared to name in case I miss someone I'm reading and keeping up with your posts.
Good morning.....the longest day. Not as nice a start to the day as last year but the rain has stopped and the sun looks as if it will be out soon.
So just to remind us of what a beautiful summer solstice can be....I've dug out last year's photo.
Have a good summer.......

I am so fighting not falling to sleep at this moment, mind you, I've been like it all day - only a quick reply - I still have posts to say 'Thank You' to do - I'll try an do them tomorrow if that's okay....
owww Northerner, I'm sorry you are ending up like a pin cushion - I know that feeling, my veins must run and hide when the hear the word needle.
The machine sounds brilliant .... a vein finder..... I remember seeing a photo of a machine/bright light type of thing that was placed above the arm, the light shone down and all the veins were visible and the lady inserted needle whilst the machine was in place.... I wonder if this is what you had..... I actually thought it was a 'hoax' - it looked so good.
Now there's a thought Christmas.... you can rest and recover till Christmas.
Sending love to you and all the Fruit Loops xx
