  • I'm awake. That's not really surprising I slept for an hour and a half this afternoon.

I saw surgeon this morning and they have agreed to doing a bilateral mastectomy. He took so long getting round to telling me. He started with my history which goes back 20 years. Eventually he got to the point and I nearly got up and hugged him. We were all laughing at one point. The nurse said she had been willing him to just say yes we are doing the bilateral because that was all I wanted to hear. I don't suppose they have many occasions in that room where everyone is laughing and smiling at that point in treatment.I even have a date Match 18th. That is just five weeks from my last EC. My bloods show I've had an excellent recovery rate after each treatment.

The chemo has significantly reduced the cancers in my right side and in the left node. The surgeon will consolidate all my scarf into one line I understand so things should look very neat.

He injected me with some dye, not sure why, I had stopped listening at this point. It hurt and pain in my breast is what's woken me up, and the need to wee.

I am still delighted. It should have me recovered, pretty much, by Easter.

Now back to my book, lazy day tomorrow I think.

    Night all.

Three times! What did I do?

  • Good morning ....

Hope you have got a bit more sleep  It's great you now have plans and dates for your operation. I'm sure all the Fruit Loops hope it goes well for you and as you say, it will soon be over.

I have been busy this morning. They are threatening warm sunshine. I have a lot of washing as we have had a lot of rain. So, I am getting it ready to go outside as soon as it's light.

There is so much water on the ground and to the west of us, the rivers have flooded and whole towns are under water. Luckily I live on a hillside but the photo is the centre of our small town. The supermarket is closed as the car park is under water. Hopefully it will recede with today's sun ready to flood again when the rain returns next week.

  • Morning!  brilliant news about your results, it’s always nerve wracking Heart️   really happy that they’ve agreed to the treatment you requested, fantastic news, and the cooking lesson sounds delightful x   I’m sorry you’ve been ill on your trip, so unfair, hope you’ve still been able to enjoy yourselves.

Well I have spent the whole half term being ill with a cold, on one hand I feel hard done by because I did nothing I had planned, on the other hand I’m grateful I wasn’t trying to work when I feel unwell!! But I still feel robbed Rofl looks like we’ve all got yet more rain to come Sob  looks like you’ve had it dreadfully there too! Hope it goes down and the supermarket opens again, must be a pain! Lots of love all x

  • Hope any flooding anyone has around or near, is easing off, so sorry.,.. it’s been a good bit dryer here today, even got some washing dry outside.

  • Good morning ....

The sun is out. Temps in the low 20's threatened.

What a pleasure to get a line of washing outside to dry.

Feet were done yesterday. That's another pleasure as she massages with lovely cream after cutting nails. Since the chemo my nails have hardened into slate so I don't have the strength in my hands to cut them. I thought I was fortunate because I didn't lose any during the treatment as I know that can be painful but perhaps life would be easier now if a new set had grown?

Tomorrow is the blood test day. Both OH and I ready for next week's more specialist check ups. The nurse will do them at our house but she always comes first to us as she passes our house on her way to the clinic. She knows I will be up !!!

Hope everyone has a good day. I think there is plenty of sunshine around and it's mild. I am off to the garden now. Too many weeds have flourished in the wet. Hopefully the grass will be dry enough for a quick trim this afternoon.
