.
Hi everyone - sorry, I've been a stranger. Again. Sitting on the naughty step.
so glad you found Bluebell. It's gut wrenching when anything is amiss with our four footed (or winged?) companions.
woohoo!!
Too many pages to go back through all of them, so I hope there hasn't been too many upsets.
Back full steam on the archery ranges again. Shot one competition so far, not a PB but did make a Grand Master score. In spite of changing pretty much everything in the two weeks prior. County champs on 18th May in Guildford.
I had a follow up TSH test a couple of weeks ago. It's dropped from nearly 10 to 3.1 in 6 weeks. So staying on the same dose and next test in 6 months.
Work is still shit. But I have some irons in the fire. One of which I need to go off and poke at shortly.
Sleep tight all xx

Ahh Toxophilite, I was wondering where you were . Xx think of you often , you were such a source of support for me xx Twinkle51
The best advice given to me was “ take it one step at a time” . Twinkle51 xx
Hi Helen Snowys Mum, my knee has been very on and off! One day I think things have settled and the next day it’s like someone is sticking something sharp right in the side of my knee every time I take a step!
However the Hydrotherapy was good! The lovely physio went through lots of different exercises which I will be able to continue with when I go swimming by myself. She took it easy on me today.....apparently!! Although my legs were aching a bit this evening. BUT my knee felt better! So I won’t speak too soon! But am VERY hopeful that this might help! Xxxxx
Yes I did celebrate! Had ticket booked many weeks ago for the Coldstream Guards St George's Day Charity Concert. Very rousing stuff that felt right for the occasion. Before that I treated myself to dinner out, scampi and chips, yum. I know how to spoil myself x
Thank you
HappyFeet1, toxophilite,Snowys Mum and seaspirit44 for your kind comments, it would have been much harder without you x
so glad you have Bluebell back.
thank you for the wonderful fireworks

Hi Everyone
my recall re NHS Tayside chemo enquiry
My meeting went well and turns out I shouldn’t have been recalled as due to my heart murmur I had a completely different chemo to the one in question . Was good though as I had some questions and I have a sore hip . Oncologist will recall me in a month or so and give me a full Mot , bloods and X-ray but she says she suspects arthritis. But she says after what I have been through she wants to put my mind at ease - so I’m happy . .
Day after my meeting my Mammogram result came through - ALL CLEAR. !
New Passport ordered as my photo had mega changed and last holiday was told I should change it ,just in case ! I only had a year remaining , so new one applied for .
Then it will be holidays !
Off to York this weekend and no need for a passport ! Meeting family so excited !
Hope you are all doing well and thank you for the good support. Hope to get good nights sleep EVERY night from now but mmm wonder if that will happen ?!
Keep up this brilliant as it’s wonderful .
Take care everyone xx

Hi
Great news about the chemo, what a relief x
My first time on this thread although I suspect I'll become a regular! Finished cycle 1 of paclitaxel/carboplatin yesterday so the steroids are kicking in. Feeling OK but my hair is starting to fall so feeling a bit nervous about that.
Hope everyone is getting some sleep!
Xx
Dear Haysie
Thank you , gosh what a journey you have had ! Life can be so cruel . You will find some wonderful caring people in this thread , always someone around , if not immediately, in an hour or so .
It was amazing the amount of stuff I got done when on steroids ! Just as well as the rest of the time I was knackered!
loosing your hair can be so upsetting although some girls have found it liberating ! I had a brilliant wig and felt quite glamorous. There is a thread about our wigs . Just search in the search bar for wigs and you can have a look through some of our photos .
Take care , I’m off to try to get some sleep as I’m meeting friends for coffee at 10.30 and I would like to walk the mile and a half to see them , instead if taking the car !

Haysie, just wanted to say.......
To the AWAKE thread, you are now a member of the Fruit Loops! You will find this group, very supportive, caring, understanding and a little mad at times.......okay most of the time! We believe that although Cancer is crapper than crap, we can still find things to laugh about! As they do say, ‘laughter is the best medicine’!
Sorry to hear you are starting to lose your hair, even though we expect it to happen, I don’t think you are ever quite prepared for when it actually happens! But I promise you that in a few days you will of got used to it! Just keep reminding yourself that it will grow back! Sending you a (((((((((((gentle hug))))))))))!
So please feel free to shout, scream, moan, ask questions or share some funny pics. Whatever you feel like doing is fine with us! Some people post regularly, others just now and again. You just do what you feel comfortable with! Sal xxxx
Now on to Ruby Rose, well what can I say but CONGRATULATIONS.........
What lovely news to wake up to this morning! Another Fruit Loop who is doing well! Really very happy for you. I hope the Oncologist is able to get the tests done ASAP so you can really celebrate and get on with ‘living’.
However I hope that now and again you will pop by and say Hi and of course let us know how you are getting on! Xxxxxx
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
