AWAKE.........

Thank you all for thinking of me, it’s 29° just now in Bratislava, had a walking tour with a really wonderful guide today, very considerate in finding shady spots to stop and let us see the sights and photograph them…..then a road train ride up to the castle which had stunning views. Our guide pointed out what they know as the ‘concrete jungle’, mass grey housing of the communist era. But the ship, fortunately, has air conditioning and it’s really very comfortable; plus of course we are on the water so again some cooling breeze. 

It’s Gala night tonight, Budapest tomorrow then the following day we depart for railway journeys back to England. I think we stop in Linz and Frankfurt.

yes it’s been too hot for me too, yesterday and today in the afternoon I’m staying on board with feet up, resting!

 LondonLass lovely to hear from you, even if you're melting in the heat. It's never too bad here at my house so I've been alright, except for the bus to work which was like an oven.

Of course Lucky Pants is welcome here any time, I'm sure Ted would make room for a visitor in his bunny house. 

We used to have some great meet ups didn't we? I still recall those ladies. We would have to see if people were willing and able. I would have to look at the National Express buses! 

Im really pleased its much cooler now, nicely in the low 20’s.

I didn’t get to a MacM meet-up Snowys Mum but I do remember them and the pics of everyone in All Bar One. If one is arranged this year Im game. Hope my post doesn’t get taken down again !!!

Sorry, all, I was almost asleep on my feet last night (still very tired) so although I didn’t get to make sure the fairy dust was topped up, I hope that it was! 

Frankfurt now, a coach trip around, then train to Brussels which I hope will be more on time than yesterdays, as we only have two hours to connect with the Eurostar train back to St Pancras. Then it’s a trip over to Euston and hopefully a train back to my nearest station and then taxi home.

Safe journey home moomy 

Delayed due to problems on the line, but now in a small hotel in Brussels overnight, paid for by GRJ, Eurostar tomorrow instead of tonight. 

Allowance of £25 for meals, receipts to be kept.

Home, phew! First Eurostar (which some folk who had urgent need to be back asap) got stuck (made the news) for hours outside Lille, incredibly poor communication and help by train staff, they were even left in a stuffy train, no access to outside air, food, drink, toilets etc for several hours. They are all back in the UK. My brother has been put up in a hotel near Marble Arch till he can sort flights home. 

what a drama!

Good Evening Fruit Loops,

Well this weather, I know we can't moan ..... I'm not, I'm not, I'm just not understanding why my body now wants to leak so much water from my face - literally runs from my head and face..... I never really have sweated, however now for some reason or other my head likes to - no where else just my head and face.

Its also like my body loves to hold on to the heat, like it stores it up, my arms feel like hot water bottles.  I've even started to put a cooler band around my head - it lasts no time at all...... like I say, I'm not complaining, just wondering what's going on 

moomy it sounds like you have had a great time with extra day or so - if you didn't need to rush back then maybe it was a nice bonus.  Those needing to get back and then breaking down and stranded for so long - is just so terrible.  

I hope your brother is okay and enjoying his stay near Marble Arch - that hopefully will be nice for him.

Today I have 'tried' to tidy up - why can't I do this, why? Why do I go off and start something else, or worse still start scrolling on Tik Tok or FB arrrrgh - then I go back to be met with all the stuff I had started and left.  I have to laugh this has made me think of Snowy's Mum when she threatened .... promised would be nicer to come around with a roll of bin bags hahaha ..... you'd of had me sorted in no time.

The thing is 'I want to tidy up, have a clear out, etc' - then the mind starts with the 'you should keep that' along with arrrr you keep that you've had it years don't get rid of it now.  Or... look, it's old, they don't make them anymore - it might be worth something one of these day or better still become a collectors item (now we are talking in this particular instance of a 'metal washing powder container'!! )

H E L P ! ! !  aargh that is no hope for me.
