Thank you fruit loops.  I was just telling hubby that the last time I saw her  was in our local sainsburys and we had a typical fruit loop conversation about prosthesis in the check out queue.

  • What a windy day! Our olive tree was being blown about so much it’s loosened the soil so we have made the decision it has to come down. We managed some of the lower big branches but hubs has phoned and left a message for a local tree surgeon. I just hope he can be in time before the whole thing gets blown down. It got very big! We are both pretty shattered! Lots of tree branches to chop up and get rid of though hubs wants the thicker trunk wood to make stuff, olive wood is so beautiful.

Sad to see the tree go, it gave some lovely shade, but it’s got too big and unwieldy. I’m now very achey! I ended up supporting a big branch at full stretch for some minutes, glad I’ve been doing all that keep fit! I did quite a bit of sawing too!

  • I’m sorry you have been feeling so low, although not surprising after what you have been through! Plus the added issue of being stuck inside unable to meet with friends and have a much needed hug!
Now I know it’s not the same, but sadly it’s the best I can offer. But sounds like you need one........

You know we are always here for you! On good or bad days! Day or night!!

Sadly I am only on here tonight as I have had major acid reflux! Woke up coughing and wheezing! Coughed some crap up from my lungs, took my inhaler and some antacid liquid and will hopefully be back asleep soon!
However I am pleased that I was able to come on and offer a reply to your post! I hope you are fast asleep now, but hopefully you will read this in the morning and feel a bit happier knowing the Fruit Loops are thinking of you! Night night Hun. Sal xx

  • , algebra was never a very good subject for me! But I think I would have to go with BED as the answer! As I knackered and those letters just spell it out to me Wink Although I suppose if I was going to give a proper answer it would be K!

It’s funny that you should post that! My Niece, just today was discussing with my sister, when in life was she ever going to use Trigonometry?? Let’s face it, probably NEVER! Just as I have never needed the algebra I learnt at school! Until now!!!

Thank you Margaret for testing our brains!!

Sorry to hear about the reflux episode Sal, it really is my worst symptom …..funny how I go for ages without it ! steroids that go with chemo have made mine bad this week , after 5 nights sitting on the edge of the bed with a raw oesophagus , I had none at all yesterday and …..wait for it ! ,,,,,,,slept 11 hours !!!!!

Kidneyfunction almost normal , consultant  can`t understand how I am recovering...…..belly gone down from 8 months pregnant to 4 , and I can reach my feet !!  Wound is still leaking , but district nurse has been great , she did give me a giggle yesterday when she dropped her thermometer on my tiled floor and it fell apart …...Skin peeled off tongue this am , but it doesn`t hurt .

One way and another ( fingers crossed ) I seem to have survived against the odds , and I think the fruit loops support helped a  lot , you have all been so supportive , many thanks !

daylight dancer , hope you can mourn lister without getting too down , she knew you loved her and gave her a good life

Best wishes to all who are struggling …...we are all in the gutter , but we can look up at the stars !
