  • Hey Fruit Loops, popped in for sleepy fairy dust....so tired! Just can’t seem to ‘drop off’ already been downstairs for some warm milk and a biccie....now my tummy is making so much noise I am not surprised that I can’t get to sleep!

Stay well all....keep those windows wide open and listen to that spring bird song...and dream of long summer days ahead.

  • Morning lovely fruit loops, sun is shining again, and yes our bedroom window is open so lovely sound of birdsong. Refreshing how nature is totally unaware of what’s unfolding for humanity. And Lister is clearly unaware otherwise he would surely stop giving you so much cleaning up to do! Hope he’s better today, sounds like a real old warrior cat. Sorry your mum is having such a miserable time, so worrying for you. Your doctors surgery experience sounds surreal, but it’s good they’re taking all these precautions to keep you all safe.

Cant work out how to copy stuff from the internet on my phone but a friend sent this to a group of us and I’ll hopefully paste it here - gave me a laugh! Love to all, keep as safe and well as you can in these strange and anxious times, HFxxxx

Well, after receiving my text and letter about shielding the other day, yesterday I had the email with my invitation to go back at work for the NHS in the currrent crisis!

Having done 32 years for the NHS before this secondary diagnosis, I would love to help, but obviously I can't! Now feeling very useless - I feel that I SHOULD be doing something useful for other people, but I can't think what given that I'm stuck in the house for the next 12 weeks.

    Has anyone got any ideas???

Hope everyone is as well as possible on this lovely day - at least the weather is okay at the moment. I feel sorry for people who haven't got a garden or safe open space to go into for short periods...

  • Hi ,

please don’t feel guilty, you (like many others) did your time and helped loads! If you still feel bad then volunteering on line or phone for support (if there is such a thing for bc, I know there is for Lymphoma as I am a buddy!) is something to think about?

Apparently you can volunteer to contact people whose mental health may be affected by the lockdown or may be lonely. Certainly something to think about - thanks

  • Glad to have helped give you something to get your teeth into,, and I'm sure that with your skills you'll be able to help many.
