Wasn’t quite sure where to post this, but this thread seems the best. I’ve just had a call from the hospital to say my April and May Denosumab injections have been cancelled. They’ve given me an appt for the end of June. Very scared now that cancer treatment is being cancelled. Will contact my BCN for reassurance I think.

Good idea to call your BCN for reassurance .

I recently had my Denosumab reduced from monthly to every 12 weeks - I had been on it for over 2 years and apparently there is a sharp increase in the likelihood of the jaw problems after this time. The oncologist said that the Denosumab stays in the body for up to 12 weeks and as long as I took the dreaded Adcal -3 and vitamin D to ensure bones are the strongest they can be, I should be covered. So, given this, you SHOULD be okay. Always worth checking though..

It's a worrying time all around...

    Hugs to you!

Thanks Weeblemum, that’s reassuring. I’be been on them since last September, and had the latest one last Friday so hopefully it’ll be okay. New appointment will be about 15 weeks from last one. Had a call cancelling my CT scan next week too. I cried on the phone when she told me. She said that if I had new symptoms or pain it could go through as an urgent referral, but that routine scans were being cancelled. In all honesty I can’t say I have new symptoms or more pain, just really wanted to know that everything is stable (or not). Looks like lots of Adcal and bone strengthening indoor exercises and a brisk outdoor walk, and sit in the sun.

    Keep safe

I'm due to have a CT scan on Sunday to see if there has been any progress in my lung condition - it's before my oncol review in April  so hopefully it'll still go ahead, but I'm sort of expecting a cancellation...

  • Hi

Do you live flat ? Is that why you going to change tag to Rapunzel

The BBC news site posted the Guidlines but said we could go in garden ..thank god . Bit extreme to say no if you have the ability to do so .

I do hope you have some outdoor space you can safely use . One alternative which I found quite distracting was online video from Cornwall live showing different areas so you could virtual visit .

Think we will surprise ourselves with ingenious ways to occupy ourselves

    take care

My CT was cancelled today , not a surprise .

I have not been past the front gate for 11 days , but my friend ordered me a jigsaw , so I took the money over to put through her letterbox. she came to her front door and I parked on the other side of the road and had a chat through a half open window , did me good .

She is an advanced nurse practitioner and she said cancer won`t romp away with a gap of 12 weeks off treatment ….I so wish I could believe her !!!

Weeblemum , I feel for you , IF this is your last summer ( lets hope not ) it feels such a waste of the good weather ager the dismal winter . My terminal friend is in a nursing home now , and is not allowed  visitors , she keeps saying to the staff that I have abandoned her , and she can`t understand why . She was given 3 months to live dec 16 , so she is my hope and inspiration, she has secondaries in 7 places !

I am staining the fence and have potted up loads of cuttings ...only 82 days to go !!!!  Hope you are all coping   x
