It’s definitely good news LondonLass … wish it could be different for you and everyone else living with sbc.

Well, had a couple of great days in Durham/Newcastle. Caught up with Fab friends, old colleagues, at the annual Christmas lunch. Hubby also caught up with his old friend too. It’s always uplifting to go back to where I come from, where I worked til retirement and just immerse myself in the culture, the accent, the memories. I also did a canny few steps around the place. It’s flat where I live now so it was nice to get back to the ups and downs of Durham … good workout.

Thanks Fruit Loops, all the positive words were much appreciated. It’s been a few days now and I’ve had chance to calm down a little. Trying to believe that this treatment might settle ‘eventually’ and that although it’s tough, really tough at times. I must remind myself that I’m at least being given this option and for that I am grateful….. even if I didn’t sound it in my rant!
As I tried to explain, not so eloquently it’s just not been as easy as I thought it was going to be. By that I mean not as easy as my Breast Care Nurse sold it to me! However as my Chemo nurse that I had yesterday pointed out, most women come in once a month pick up their tablets and off they go! Oh how I dream of being ‘most women’!
However if life was that easy and things always went to plan, I wouldn’t have ever needed to post on here and I would never of met you amazing ladies! So for that I am glad that my body has never pled ball and I’ve always been an awkward sod but then that makes me, me! I know you wouldn’t have me any other way…. Perhaps a little less grumbly! But sorry you can’t have everything!!
So Fruit Loops, looks like I’m going to be around hopefully for a long while yet! So here if any of you need me and always happy to offer a Hug, some wise words or just a kick up the backside…meant in the nicest possible way! Most of all I’m here to try and make a difference. I may not always love the life I now lead but as long as I can still make a difference in this world then I still have a purpose, we ALL do!
Sending love and Hugs to you all. Thanks again for all the support. It was much needed and REALLY appreciated. Sal xxxx
