Good morning.....
Last drive. It will take another three hours but as we can't have the cottage until 16.00, we can take all day. We could use the motorway but our son, who hopes to live in Portugal soon, uses the IP2 which is I suppose a bit like the old British A routes. He says it is dual carriageway and very scenic. Google says 20 minutes longer so we have decided to try it.
These photos are yesterday's motorway south ...from frost to sunshine and 18°....plus Christmas in the hotel foyer.

Bright, sunny, bit chilly day. Just good to see the sun and no rain. I think tomorrow will be different. We’ve been out to the shops, got myself another pair of Skechers to replace my worn out ones. They’ll do for “knocking around” and I’ve got waterproof walking shoes/boots for damp weather. Now just need to find myself a decent/“dressier” pair of leather shoes although I am thinking DM’s. They are supposed to have good soles although I know they will take longer to get used to. Not tried a pair on so don’t know if suitable for my aged feet. This will teach me to buy footwear before I throw the old ones out !!
Now, need to decide what I’m cooking while hubby out cleaning car

Flossie25 .....Good morning. Look at the company which starts with an H-----and ends s. ( Dashes represent letters) I have great leather ankle boots which I can both walk in, wear for everyday and they look great with winter dresses too. Being leather they are so comfortable and the moulded sole is the same on their summer styles. They are expensive but several pairs I have bought were last year's colour and had 50 or 60% off. I had to buy online but the sizing is accurate and I didn't return any. They last two. Great for both neuropathy and age.... Mum's pair of purple ankle boots which she loved at 97, had zips down both sides for ease putting on but they were elegantly stylish when on.
We are installed in our rental cottage, have stocked up on basics ( very large till receipt but hopefully only once in two months?) and sat enjoying the sunshine for coffee without coats. Luxury....and already one feels the aches diminishing. Please let this weather continue. Oh has so many ailments now that will benefit from warmer days and as for my neuropathy and general exercise ....if we can walk out in the countryside or at the sea front.
I hope you are all ok. I know some of you recently had chemo again. Not pleasant but the cycles are ticking away.....and the problems from the hormone inhibitors. I know it's years but every week passing is a week nearer the end goal.
