  • Hello! Thank you all. I contacted the BCN and she told me to see the GP first. Managed to get a PA appointment yesterday, he says my last bloods showed I was borderline anaemic and has re run my bloods which might explain why I keep getting ill. He said he could feel ‘something’ in my armpit and told me to get back in touch with the BCN for an ultrasound and he will also write a referral letter. So I did that and now I’m waiting. I suspect it’s cording? Even though I had surgery in Jan 22? I don’t know, we’ll see. Still have the sore throat but it’s improved. Thanks so much for all your advice. I knew this was the best place to come Heart️Heart️Heart️

  • I really hope it’s nothing much of course  , but yes you’ve done the right thing. Surprised at your BCN, to be honest, I’d have thought she’d get you into clinic….

  • We are now on the French/ Spanish border in a village hotel. People are very friendly. OH dropped all his travel money getting coffee but someone kindly picked up the roll and returned it. I've told him to be more careful before but he's a typical man....naturally it's safe.....We were lucky. Sun all the way south to Pyrenees but now in the mountains...sleety rain. Interesting tomorrow. We have to cross the Pyrenees and the Sierra's and it has been snowing. Today we have walked around the village and at lunch the largest superstore imaginable. I've managed my daily step allowance. I wanted to buy everything. The Christmas table decs were beautiful and so inexpensive but the car is full. Needs elastic sides now. I did however buy a Spiced rum, and a Bailey's for Christmas????. Spanish prices are amazing. Petrol at 1.33€ a litre. That's over 30 cents a litre less than France.

Now sleep. Tomorrow is the longest drive. Probably six hours.

Take care all. If I have WiFi I'll send some photos of Salamanca.

  • Good you’re getting seen   I’ve had cording which was the thick type, not the thin that could be “snapped” with massage. I was referred to a physio who dealt with cording.
you’re certainly having a long and interesting journey. What luck regarding the holiday money. Safe travels.

Debating what to cross off to do list today.

Hope everyone has as good a day as possible.

  • Salamanca at night .

We crossed the Roman bridge to get to the old town

Lots of welcome walking after seven hours of driving. We are loving the tapas lunches though...tortilla especially.

Tomorrow Badajoz right on the border with Portugal. Nearly there!
