Too right Mazza10. Make the most of life while you can. I just love the idea of a dinosaur on tour!
May I ask a question about meds? You said on your profile that you've refused Als and biphosphates. I haven't encountered these. What are they, and why have you turned them down? I'm guessing side effects?
Please ignore the question if it's too personal. I won't be offended.
Hi Eva , I believe Dippy is going to all sorts of places. Regarding the meds .. AI are Aromatose Inhibitors, now I'm no expert and it depends on your type of cancer but they are given after treatment to stop/reduce the production of oestrogen which certain types of cancer feed on.
The reason I refused, I did try for a couple of weeks, is that for me the side effects were horrendous. The % advantage they would give me was minimal so I stopped. They can weaken your bones then you're given the bisphosphonates to strengthen them- they too have side effects particulary on your jaw.
Now, this was me … so don't want anyone else to be put off because not taking them can increase the risk of recurrence. I chose to take that risk and have some quality of life.
By the way welcome to the group and ask anything you like that's what we're here for.
xx
Added: I have no idea if they are used with your TN cancer sorry.
