Hope everyone is managing to stay cool in this weather. I ended up wetting a towel last night, so I could cool off each time I woke up. At this rate I'll be testing the damp t-shirt thing. It's amazing how your body adjusts to the climate you live in. I couldn't possibly spend Christmas at Mum and Dad's now - I'd die of heat-stroke in 40C plus these days. I guess the 5 years in Isle of Man has knocked my heat tolerance down even further.
Belgium are playing very well, 2-0 up on Brazil.
Kacang I have pretty much given up on him now. It's awful to watch someone slowly killing themselves though. If he would at least go for his overdue check-up and get some medical input (or should that be talking to?) it might help. He's very passive-aggressive so I do wonder whether the overeating is a symptom of something else he's not talking about. I don't like to use the word slovenly, but that is pretty much what he's like at home. Even his clean laundry is left in a heap on the floor. Yet at work he is as neat and tidy as you like, and the workshop's star performer. Makes no sense. Spoiled by Mum and never grown out of it?
LondonLass, I'm so glad Lisa left you a letter, something that will bring you comfort in time.
I've seen you lurking around - good to have you back!!
Stay chilled folks

toxophilite...I am watching it too, dont think Brazil can come back now...have a brillo meme of Nyamar to make you smile but I dont expect it will work on here as I cant send photos.
thanks for the person( )who explained about the site...it helps so much to know whats happening...
yes nice to see you back...
LondonLass....so sad/sweet.
toxophilite...I think it does sound like typical passive aggressive behaviour from hubby....is there a reason that he cant express himself ?xx
Violetsniff he's never been diagnosed, but I think he's high-functioning autistic. However, he can also be a bit of an attention seeker.

Common Belgium!! I'm enjoying the football.
Toxophilite I know the Isle of Man well, my son lives there.
They think its all over, it is now!
As someone who hates football I was glad to see Brazil lose when they have some dramaqueens who seriously overact. Admitting that its nice to see a lot of the underdogs doing very well.
It seems to be a big thing with the South American players. They will do anything and everything to win, intimidating the ref, playacting and playing dirty.
It leaves a bad taste.
I too am glad to see the underdogs rise to the top, the football has been refreshing, even astounding at times.
Right, I need to go and wash the day's grime away and get some sleep. Going to get my hair cut tomorrow, but need to go 10miles in the opposite direction to fetch a parcel first. Hubby ordered something I like eating, but it needs a signature and guess who's away....... Going to end up costing me more to actually get than the package is worth.....

I totally agree with the comments about the world cup. I'm glad that France won because they're my team in our sweepstake at work. If they and England make it to the final I'll truly be torn! Haha.
I'm just so fed up with not sleeping! I co e to bed feeling sleepy and exhausted, lie there for thirty minutes the I'm back on my iPad as I don't see any point lying there any longer! It's just so tedious!
GBear, sorry to hear about all your upcoming tests. I shall have my fingers crossed for good news!
Optimistic, sounds like you are going through a rough patch. But at least you Noe know what is causing the problems which means there's a solution! Thats good news Hun even if it doesn't feel like it right now!
Sending love and Hugs to all. Sal xxx
Oh and by the way. How about we start thinking about the next meet up? It's nice to have something to look forward too. Plus there are still a few people we haven't met face to face yet!!
Anyone have any suggestions for a date.. Please let us know xxxxxx
