    Hope you get some sleep

I had a weird experience last night. Bed at 10, to sleep by 11, woke at 12, back to sleep around 12.30 ish. Then I woke up again and it was daylight, about 7.30. I was quite disoriented lol. So that means I got about 7 straight hours. That hasn't happened to me for many years. Feels great.

Sorry to boast, but I had to share as it is so unusual.

    Hehehehehehe, couldn't resist!!

7 hours of uninterrupted sleep....WOW....just WOW! I had my usual 1.5hrs so not quite on the same level :-( But one day, I might reach that point......I can dream.....well if I stayed asleep long enough I could dream ;-)!!!!

On that subject, I should try and get a bit more sleep! Have a good day Lynn xxx

  • Love the pic. Hope you're asleep right now. xx

  • Hi Sus21,oh,I see....yes it should pass.I had one a year ago and it all seemed strange, especially when I woke up the next day and looked...it didn't feel like my own body..my lovely tummy had gone(I had a DIEP)and was now a big scar and my breast was so different now...but I did get sort of used to it...just glad am still here,if that doesn't sound too trite, and also am making big strides in moving forward. It takes a while, take the time you need to adjust xx

  • Mmmmm...you and me both!!anyway...eye ask on and try again !!!xx

  • No, I'm awake!! Dropped off for an hour but now hot, sweaty and wide awake!! Just getting a drink and will then try again, might get a few more hours before I have to get up! ((((((((((Hugs)))))))) xxx

  • Sigh! Try not to spend time staring at your screen. They say that interferes with sleep too.

    Big hugs xx

  • I never spend too long on iPad and only go on once I know there's no way I'm going back to sleep anytime soon!

AND READY TO START THE DAY...............NOT! Xxxx

  • Today has been a tough day! Pain was worse and hot flushes were awful, twice today I had hot flushes/sweats that lasted 25mins each! Absolutely exhausting! Luckily not too embarrassing as the 1 year old doesn't notice!

Called the hospice nurse to fill her in and ask advice and she's on annual leave! Came off the phone and just cried! This is like my journey with tamoxifen all over again! Why can't my body just accept that it can't have oestrogen anymore!!

Hoping all you other non sleepers had a better day! Although it's been quiet on here so I wonder if you have all managed to get more sleep! I hope so, because this not sleeping properly really is torture!!! Xxx

Oh Londonlass I'm so sorry you're having such a hard time.is there any chance you could take some time off from work to give yourself a chance to rest a little?it must be so hard to keep going when you're so exhausted and little ones are such hard work.

I hope tonight isn't too bad.i will be thinking of you (and the other sleepless ladies) whilst I am lying in bed sweating.Big hugs

    Anne

  • Thanks Anne, but time off is the last thing I need! I've been trying to get back to 'living' as normal a life as I can since the beginning of last year! This job is currently the only thing that is going right! They are amazing employers and I will not let them down. Just wish there was more support/understanding towards secondary cancer and the side effects of treatment!

If I hear "it's JUST a hot flush" once more, I swear someone is going to see my angry side!!!

I have gone a whole 3 hours with NO major hot flushes!! Have very painful breasts, but i can't expect miracles! Maybe tonight could be the night for SLEEP.

Hope you manage to get some sleep Anne and thanks for the reply ((((((((big hugs)))))) xxxx
