Thank you for making me laugh.just what I needed today

  • Hi ....just reading back thro the messages....I feel your pain at being given the least amount possible for your holiday pay etc. When I was diagnosed it was just after I had given in my notice to receive NHS Pension, leaving, but coming back on shorter hours. This meant that after 33 years as a Carer I was given no extra, people even told me to retract my notice and give it in later and then I would receive more sick pay.Well,I didnt want to be dishonest,or rob the struggling NHS,so I didnt. As i fall into a certain age group,it meant I won’t receive my StatePension (which I was always expecting at 60)so am living off my NHS pension and my savings. No other real income. It does get to you and for ages I was a real supporter of WASPI...a body who fight against the raised pension age.But there we are...what can we do.When the Government meet to discuss it,the least amount of memebers show up,and reject it,and go home.Well,I am not bitter, but could be.Xxxxx

    ...You are funny!!

...loving the muskateer!!a ballerina muskateer next??xx

  • I got talking to someone who used to work admin but worked all over the place for 35 years in the company and up to the October before everyone got the enhancements but she was made redundant in may the next year  and got nothing its a big sting in the tail. I am glad you have your nhs pension at least but i feel very agrived for you that this has happened to you 33 years is along time to being in a caring profession, but like you said its how it is. Yeah and i get the members not turning up point it was a similar situation for me, hardly anyone voted and the motion was passed than people complaining i kept saying you didn’t vote so shut up! Maybe alittle harsh but i felt it wasnt fair on those who turned up to vote in our union but yes its no point being bitter as it doesn’t get us anywhere. I hate to imagine what age i will be before i can retire it keeps raising, but I believe its in 2044according to my company pension plan. Hum my maths are shocking but since i am 39 now got a long ay to go.

  • Big hugs

I went diving in Egypt and Malta just before my BC diagnosis. Absolutely loved it.  xxx

  • Well approximately 9weeks after I saw the hospital dentist I started my Root Canal treatment.......

On a plus I do have one of the nicest dentists, who tells me I am her favourite patient as I am so relaxed. She thought I had gone to sleep! Well with just a few hours sleep it was a definite possibility!

Go back again next week to hopefully complete the treatment! If not it'll be a few more weeks!!

Hope everyone has had a good day! Xxxxxxxxxx
