Great pictures like I love planes too. My eldest lad was in the RAF stationed in Lincoln with the Harrier jump jets... they were a sight to behold. He was in a service once in the Cathedral and then Princess Diana went to the Base.

I lived near RAF Valley on Anglesey as a child when the Red Arrows were based and trained there. We were the highest house in the village and they used our chimney pots as a guide to the runway. Now and again there were a few crashes (no fatalities they bailed out) we used to run down to the crash site and nick bits off the plane... no airfix in our bedrooms.. it was the real thing!

Vulcan bombers often came there too... me and my friend, Pamela, climbed onto the wings of one and sunbathed for a couple of hours until a jeep came racing down the runway and we beat a hasty retreat. We used to walk across the runway as a short cut to school if we missed the bus!

Thanks for bringing the memories back.

    xx

  • I think this might of been exactly how I looked 50mins ago when the birds woke me up with their constant squawking............

In fact my hair sticks out like that too Stuck out tongue winking eye xxx

  • Hmmmmmm me this morning......

Seriously, a week now of 2.5 to 3.5hrs of sleep! I am exhausted and yet when I come to bed in the evening I am wide awake!

I feel like I have taken a huge leap backwards, as my sleeping pattern had improved a bit! I suppose I should be grateful that I still, somehow manage to get through the days! I really don't know how! Think I'm too stubborn to give in! But I need to try and sort this, this small amount of sleep just can't be healthy!!

I'm seeing my elusive Hospice Nurse today. Why elusive? It's taken me 2 weeks to try and talk to her, the closest I came was yesterday but she had left the office just as I called her back! So will make the most of today's meeting!

I need to discuss the pain I've been having! Although I think she'll suggest waiting for CT results before changing anything. My scan appt came through for next Friday! Obviously I'm hoping for news that it's still stable, although part of me would like an explanation for the increased pain! Even if it's arthritis or something along those lines. Not knowing what's causing the pain, makes it tougher to treat!

Anyway enough about me. How's everyone doing?

, I hope you are remaining side effects free. I can see you've been busy knitting! You are amazing!

, well done on getting through Chemo 2! Don't worry about next week and whether they will do it or not. Take things a day at a time.

, I hope you are feeling a bit brighter. We all have bad days so don't beat yourself up about it!

, you've nearly survived another week! Hope you got a bit more sleep than I did last night!

, hope you are doing okay Hun. It's so hard when we lose someone we care about and even more so when it makes us think about our own journeys. You will slowly start to cry less and feel better Hun. It just takes time.

, how are you getting on? I hope things are going along as well as they can!

, how are things going with you? Haven't seen you around for a while!

, how was the market? Did you have a nice time? Buy anything nice? Sounds like you have really settled and that makes us all really happy!

, Can we expect you back now your busy month is over? Or are you happy getting back to normality......whatever that is. Missing you, but just hope you are doing okay and slowly working your way through the Herceptin.

, how are you doing my lovely? Hopefully plodding along without too many issues!

, hope you are doing okay and enjoying a bit of time away from here. But remember we are all here for you.

, how are you? Hope life is treating you well.

, how are you? Enjoying the school holidays I hope! How's your other half doing? I hope things are gradually getting easier for you.

, not much I can say to you as I know I will be texting you shortly. But didn't want you to feel left out!

, I think the photo you put up yesterday was lovely. Well done you on looking so great during such a crap time! Wish I looked that good!!!

, haven't seen you on here for a while. Hope you are doing okay?

, I know you are taking a break. But sending lots of love your way!

, hope you enjoy the rest of your break. I imagine you'll need a rest when you get back. But think of all the lovely memories you'll have and those fantastic photos!

, how are you getting on? Hope you are doing okay!

, how's life treating you? Been up to much? Hope you are doing well.

, hope you are well. Haven't seen you on here for a bit.

, How's life treating you? You are always around to wish others well so I hope you are doing okay too.

, Hope things are okay with you.

now I know as soon as I post this I am going to realise I forgot someone! If I have I'm sorry. I impressed myself that I recalled the names I did. So don't take it personally. I am still thinking about you all and hoping all is well. It's funny this group was quite small when we first started, now look at it!!

Sending Love and (((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) to all. Happy Thursday. Hope it's a good one! Xxxxxxxxxxxx

and  I am another plane fan. Cried my way through may an airshow, why do these flying machines stir up these emotions. Love the Lancaster and bringing it more up to date the Tornado has to be my fave and who doesn't burst into tears when they see the Red Arrows.

  • , with everything else going on I'm not sure I ever posted? Maybe I did!! Who knows! After 3 calls to the hospital and contacting PALS! 7 weeks after the biopsy I received the results in the post. The lump was benign they gave it a name but I don't recall off hand what it was!

Anyway I then went to the dentist 3wks ago and she said have you noticed the lump is still there but larger and flatter.......well yes I had noticed and ignored hoping it would go away! I sort of assumed/hoped it was 'normal' swelling! So she looked at me and yes said those frustrating words "I really think we need to go back and get that checked"! So she asked if I had a contact number for the secretary which I did and so I called, explained the situation and was told it would have to go through as a normal referral.......here we go again!

However I had a call on Tuesday asking if this lesion was the same one that they biopsied I said yes, which is why I called in the beginning. So she said well would you like to come in ASAP or you can wait till the Sept appt that has been sent! Well I said sooner would be better, so she offered me Today!

Fingers crossed they say it's normal scar tissue and to leave it as it is!

Well that was a bit long winded. Sorry xxxxx

Good grief - it just seems that everything is conspiring to make your life complicated and troublesome at the moment!

Fingers crossed that today's appointment goes well and that you can forget about your gum at least!

    - glad that the second session went well yesterday - hope you're feeling okay today!
