  • Yes it is hard tagging people, I never remember all of the posters. MacMillan just said it was against the rules to post medical pictures and they classed them as medical, like I say I was expecting them to be taken down but they were up long enough for most of you to see them, that was the important thing. I can always converse with people privately if they want to see them or ask for advice. Night all, hope you’ve enjoyed the bank holiday x

  • Howdy everyone,

I've been being active with appointments, and seeing friends, and volunteering. Which means more time mentally and physically fatigued. Meh!

I loved seeing your beautiful tattoos, thank you for risking the wrath of moderators!

Had monthly nurse check in. My bloods are good, bowels way better (tend towards constipation, eat prunes every 3 days or so) except after reflexology,  so not reducing abema dose. Just gotta live with having pathetically low energy levels. And no scan results yet. Going to Italy on 14th for 4 days and both excited and terrified. Will be with a friend and her hubby, and I'm not gonna be able to keep up with them and don't want my fatigue to ruin it for them. And what happens if something goes catastrophically wrong with my health like the Malignant Spinal Cord Compression thing. How do you explain that in Italian?! I can just about order coffee on a good day!! Sure my worries are made worse by waiting for the scan results and not even sure I'll get those before I go!!

But for now I'm in bed, with my cat on my lap like a warm embrace, so there is good in life. Away to see if I can finish my current book!

  • Morning.
I’m sure you’ll have a lovely trip to Italy  although understand the worries. You’ll have the support of your friends, insurance and a translation app on your phone. Use hop on hop off buses or a public transport card to get you around… but Fingers crossedu’ll know all that. Hope you made progress with your book. Fingers crossedfor your scan results.

  •   .....You're going to have a wonderful trip to Italy. Your friends wouldn't have asked you if they hadn't  been prepared to help you have a lovely time. Plenty of coffee stops will help your energy recuperate and they'll be no shortage of pavement cafés......As for a medical emergency.......don't worry about communication. When we were at Lucca OH's insulin got too hot while travelling and it wasn't working but the pharmacist spoke perfect English and we were using a French prescription but that didn't phase him either. I'm sure he wasn't unique and if you did need help, you would be able to explain your circumstances. However, I also think all will be fine and you'll really enjoy yourself.

I know 'wheelchair' is not a word you want to hear and I understand that but my mum wouldn't use one for years because she could walk short distances but once her pride let her use one, she told me she wished she'd used it years earlier. It reopened the world to her. Suddenly we go anywhere again. She could enjoy sightseeing, shop in large hypermarkets or long streets and although we couldn't do footpaths, we did a lot of nice walks using cycle tracks and tarmac paths.

Have a lovely time. We look forward to the photos.

  • Totally agree with all you have said  and like you say good advice from  too.

Thank you  for the sleep fairy dust - I'll be pinching a little - although its 1:15am and my eyes are heavy.

I intend on going out for lunch with mom and hubby today, might see if we can get an Afternoon Tea ....

We will remember all that served and extra special thoughts to all that gave their lives for their families that suffered with loss or injury - they did this for us, for us to have our today "Thank You"

Wishing all our Fruit Loops a restful nights sleep xxxx

I'm hoping this makes sense - only my mind says one thing and my fingers type whatever they like x
  • Owww  my hobby - I have to laugh 'it went okay, as okay can' - although what I made wasn't really any good, but as it was my first attempt I kept them.

I'm really sorry, I need to keep you in suspense a little longer xxxxRofl
