If you want cooler....come to France! Or wetter.....I have never known so much rain even in UK.
Haha yes I kept well clear of tge trampolines and just looked after my 9 month old grandson, while my daughter had a fantastic time bouncing with her other two!!
It actually wasn't too bad a place it just didn't have a chair only benches to sit on (I struggle without back support) and not enough parking. We hadn't taken the pram wheelbase as we thought we could just carry the heavy car seat in from the car park. My daughter has such incredible strength as we ended up parking so.e distance away and she had to carry the car seat. We did find some huge pine cones on our walk though, so it wasn't all bad!
Have been away so missed a lot on the forum.
Had a lovely holiday in Welburn, near where my son lives. It was good to see him coping well after the radiotherapy, tho he still has some rough days. He is pretty stoical and is back at work. There is a six week wait and then he has another MRI scan to see if there is any shrinkage, and then surgery will be scheduled.
We stayed in the same cottage is last time, so well designed and comfortable. Weather was good apart from the first day when it poured none stop. We went to Bempton Cliffs, the RSPB reserve. Saw lots of birds but alas no puffins. The wind was so strong I had trouble standing sometimes! We had some nice walks, and a drive onto the moors , visiting the steam railway and ending up in Whitby. We also went to a pub quiz, which is a regular feature in the village.I answered 1 question correctly only! Our team came second thanks to my son and grandson.
We will be staying there next year when my eldest granddaughter gets married.
Love to all fruitloops xxxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Sounds a really lovely break, seaspirit44 , and yes, even here it’s been really wild weather at times, I’ve been reluctant to put plants out into the garden till these last couple of days.
Night night Fruit Loops, sleep well and stay safe, plenty of sleepy dust for all who wish

Great photos Sabrina22
Lots of planning with the kids (son is teaching Wednesday as daughter is driving up in a hire car to take over for a day, so I’m going to make up the big bed in my Moho for her so son can still sleep in the house; my 3rd bedroom is tiny and is now more an office)
Night night Fruit Loops, sleep well and stay safe, plenty of sleepy fairy dust for all who wish
