  • Morning  ......it's no wonder you're awake. After the last fracas, you're going to be apprehensive that you've made the right choice. But look at it this way.....you're obviously goood at your job. Despite everything you had a choice of job offers......So try to relax and sleep a bit more. Remember too.....if this new job doesn't feel right when you start it, don't put up with it.....resign again ....and try another. You obviously have what the employers are looking for otherwise instead of wondering if you'd taken the right job...you'd still be trying to find an offer.....

We are off to Bordeaux today as OH may have found a replacement car. We've booked a hotel too....Who knew buying second hand cars would be so difficult? Mum is stopping with my sister in a cabin at our nearby lake. I can't imagine what possessed her to book a wooden shed to have mum for 3 nights( except it's cheaper?)but I needed this break and as three nights was all she could spare from a nearly month long holiday touring with camper......I have to take it and leave mum to deal with the shed! She'll be back in four walls on Thursday....

  •   , take it steady, being head hunted sounds good but please ensure the new job is one you feel comfortable with, you can’t go through this much aggro again!

  •   here's hoping your new job will be great. I must admit I absolutely love my reception job, feel so lucky to be in a a clean quiet environment sat at a desk.

Sorry about the dailias, the tubers are not cheap either xxx

  • Thank you   Your words really helped to calm me and good advice  . Certainly if it doesn't suit I shall be looking round again.

I hope your mother gets on OK in the cabin with your sister. I'm sorry I haven't read back. Was she anxious about going or quite happy knowing she would be back with you in a few days?

I am so pleased to hear you are enjoying your new Jon  . You so deserve it after the stress you had in your last role.

I have had a good few days in Northumberland as annual leave and am just beginning to wind down from work. I can't believe I've needed a stick to walk this year!!

  • Blood pressure has been crazy, high during the pre-op but she sent me home to email one in which was ok. Now the pressure is off it’s down to 126/70 ! I think I need to discuss it with GP?

Night night Fruit Loops, sleep well and stay safe, plenty of sleepy fairy dust for all who wish

  • Apart from the BP issue   you passed the MOT? One more step nearer to getting yourself sorted again. Good luck for the operation. I'll be thinking of you

  • Thank you   I start in July which gives me plenty of time to work myself up into a tizzy. I'm not someone who likes change and the new job will have all sorts of different stresses. But I am hoping my initial impression of the people is correct and tgey are kind, friendly and want the job done properly, unlike my current employers!!

  • I suffer from whitecoat syndrome too  I take my BP 4 times and take photos of the readings before going to docs to have it checked. The first reading is always higher as I'm anxious but as I relax, the readings come down and the docs note the best reading for their records rather than putting me through the stress of them checking it.  it is not at all surprising your reading was high when they checked it. You are in an anxious place right now, especially waiting for the actual procedure. Sending hugs x
