Weather really wild here in NE moomy I was in garden yesterday morning had to come in and change into warm joggers and fleece top wind so cutting .
Ive had to tie everything down and recover baby veggies in their fleeces .Came in at 2pm when it had a HAIL shower !!
Hoping to plant plug trailing flowers in living wall planter today . Forecast is 9 deg and strong winds so might have to fashion a cover of some description..
Salad all in new planters from middle aisle in a certain store beginning with L .

Northerner ....what a good idea the living wall is. I have asked OH to put me up some shelves on the outside of the garage this year. It will be a kind of living wall too but I will use long jardineres to plant some lettuces. There are too many ' french' snails at ground level plus very little soil on chalk. My tomatoes go in dustbins which give them perfect support and enough soil 2/3 rds full ( plus ofcourse the odd marigold). I wishmoomy you were nearer. I could buy your excess seedlings from you......
Take care all. I can see you had some atrocious weather throughout UK yesterday. Apart from cooler temps.....not too bad here. Sun out.
Tomatoes in dustbins, Lacomtekp Hey that’s an idea! And yes, I’d be really happy to share seedlings, but try not to grow too many of any these days. Hubs HATED throwing out any seedlings, bless him, always planted lots and was then left with where to put them!
It’s definitely potting on day! Thankfully I can sit in the garden room to do it in dry and warmer conditions than outside, though not that warm today!

Morning......
We have had another dramatic two days. Trying to help me and not waiting, mum tripped getting out of the car and landed on her collar bone which broke. So now she is strapped up and in a lot of pain unable to pull herself out of bed or chair for the toilet. So I haven't had so much sleep either...........
We shall have to see how it goes but my sister is on holiday in France and planned to be in our area for a few days next week. She had booked an Airbnb and hopes mum can join her. OH and I were looking forward to a few days on our own to get a few things done but whether mum will well enough to move, I don't know. I hope so because she doesn't see my sister very frequently and even now this is only three days.
