Just catching up on all your news and do I spy a new fruit loop Sabrina22 . Welcome to the awake thread if new where we can talk utter sh!te
No gossip from musty moisty S Wales. My daughter had her birthday a couple of days ago but still having to content myself with FaceTime videos. Hope the change of meds improve things for her soon. I'm off tonight which started with 4 couples now just 2. One couple hubby has crohns which has been playing since we arranged get together so was always doubtful but then second couple one needed emergency surgery yesterday for mouth abscess. The 4 of us still going, we will just have to rearrange another together as last one was just before Xmas. The couple we going with tonight we've been friends with the wife for about 35 years. Her first hubby worked with my hubby and we all became friends but 20 years ago they split. We tried to keep in touch with husband but he didn't seem to want to, he remarried and moved on. My friend has been a wonderful and kind thoughtful friend over the years and when she remarried years ago we were so happy to share their very exclusive wedding of just immediate family & 8 friends. Funny how life turns out.
in other sadder news a cousins daughter diagnosed with terminal liver cancer and given just weeks. If only the treatment for other cancers was as successful as for BC x
Sabrina22 Hellooooooo my name is Miss Scarlett O'Hara. I am magical Guinea Pig, I live with my Nana at Guinea Pig Mansions a Villa overlooking Pendle Hill.
My aim in life is to create happiness and joy for those who provide hay and carrots for me to nibble.
I recently have acquired 2 tweety young budgie brothers, who I don't mind at all. In fact when Nana goes to work, she says "You're in charge Scarlett" so I feel quite important.
People have said I am slightly overweight. But frankly my dear I don't give a damn xxx
Sabrina22 I hope you haven't run away after the shock of being addressed by a Guinea Pig.
Welcome to the thread, glad to see you getting out and about. I was same after treatment I couldn't get enough of being outdoors.
My news is that I went to Tennis really early to watch Grandson. I did the warm up with him but still got frozen. Came home and have been digging a concealed path out in the garden. Every few years it gets overgrown. So I got both muddy and frozen. Currently on sofa wrapped in 2 electric blankets, with Scarlett in my dressing gown, thawing.
Sorry to hear about your relative Grogg its heartbreaking so young. One of the cooks at work has died she was only 53. She's been ill for some time, they couldn't find out what was wrong despite scans and tests. Death certificate says "Major organ failure "
Sorry to end on such a sad note. Hope people are having a nice weekend xxx
How sweet is that, I had guinea piggies in the past.
They are lovely creatures. I lived in Burnley as a kid, my Mum could see Pendle Hill from her bungalow when she retired. Howarth and Barley visited those areas. Did the first 2 years of my Nurse training at Airedale General.
We need more like this, fantasy and fun bring it on. My cat and dog lighten my load at times. Lovely to have furry friends. Xxx
We had a walk on a pebbly beach again. I get grumpy if I'm inside too much. Cabin fever they used to call it. It feels hotter outside sometime. Merlin found some doggy friends and even had a paddle.
I was a naughty girl today, deciding to only do a demo each hour! There were a couple of university groups in too, so I was lucky to have one of the guides to demonstrate Enigma for me (he had a tight schedule so I left him to it) I then took over and demonstrated the Bombe when the room was emptied.
Hugs xxx

I can talk sh...e if it's needed, life is so serious sometime. Good to have light hearted and normalish conversations. I feel c has overtaken a bit. I need to put it back in its place. It's done its 'time and now it's gone hopefully. That's a complicated story about your friends. I think it's time a sleep or 40 winks or something. Sad to hear about young people getting cancer. Hope she gets good painrelief and care. How does anyone deal with that.
