I went to gp last week coz my arm and particularly around elbow was sore and painful. Prescribed anti biotics for query c ellulitus now been back for review and put on another week of antibiotics and a blood test and gp wants gout rulled out.has anyone else experienced this. The affected arm is the arm I had 20 lymph nodes out and lumpectomy side.
Hello Maryon,
I have had cellulitis in my arm (also after having all lymph nodes removed from that side). It was slightly swollen, red rash, and painful to touch.
I had two weeks of heavy duty antibiotics (two types) which cleared it.
I hope you have seen an improvement in yours by now.
Thank you for that. I feel reassured it's c ellulitus and not gout . they took blood to rule out gout today. When something like this happens on your affected arm you worry it's start of lymphodema.
I have my first T weds after 3 fec. I'm hoping it doesn't affect me too much as I already have dodgey hip joint and arthritis is lower disc enough to cause pain when walking.
I remain upbeat and determined to stay positive. This Trojan horse C will not infect my motherboard! I believe thats what they call nerve centres of a pc!
