My husband has recently finished a course of Stereotactic Radiosurgery on 3 brain mets. Does anyone know how long the side effects last. During his 5 sessions over 10 days he coped well. (Apart from losing a lot of his vision which is very frustrating for him.) But since the final session he has been wiped out. He's finished his steroids now. But has no energy, no appetite, very weak, slightly breathless. And hasn't moved out of bed. His chemo has been stopped, but due to start back in 2 weeks. For his primary s4 bowel, with liver, adrenal, & lung mets. Just wondering how long before we worry these are not side effects and maybe something else !!! Hate to see him like this. Thanks in advance. I am new to this group.
Hi and welcome to the online community
I'm sorry to hear how poorly your husband is at the moment.
I haven't had this treatment so can't tell you how long he will feel like this or whether it's something to be worried about or not but I spotted that your post hadn't had any response yet.
Have you or your husband spoken to his hospital team about how he's feeling? If it's difficult to reach them you could post your question in the ask a nurse section of the community and one of the specialist nurses will aim to respond within 2 working days.
When you have a minute, it would be really useful if you could pop something about your husband's journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

Thankyou. He has spoken to his SRS team. And it is to be expected although I am still worried. They said to contact them again if there is no improvement and they would speak to his consultant. Thanks for your concern and reply.
