Hi all, I received a letter telling me that I have a meningioma in the cavernous sinus which is why I have double vision and find it difficult to concentrate. The letter states that there will be a MDT meeting then they'll be InTouch. Can anyone give me an idea of what the time line is like.
HI
a warm welcome to the online community.
Everyone's timeline will be slightly different depending on their own personal health circumstances and diagnosis. Most hospitals seem to have weekly MDT meetings so hopefully someone will be in touch in a week or two. If you haven't heard from them by then, I'm going to assume that there is a phone number or email address on the letter that you can reach out to. Not knowing is a thousand times worse than knowing.
I supported my late husband through the three years of his stage 4 primary brain tumour (Glioblastoma) and from initial diagnosis to surgery was only 2 weeks.
There's some good generic information on meningioma on the main MacMillan site. Here's the link Meningioma in adults | Macmillan Cancer Support Hopefully this will help to answer any questions you have while you wait to hear back from the hospital.
