Hello all,
I was diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer in October 2024 (aged 49). I was treated for this and was hoping to make a full recovery.
However, in April this year, I had a few days when I started loosing words, and couldn’t finish sentences. I was advised to go to A&E.
After the necessary scans, the dr told me that the cancer had spread to the brain - I had several brain lesions.
I had Gamma Knife treatment (a type of radiotherapy) on 6 brain lesions.
I am now on palliative treatment (chemotherapy, target therapy and immunotherapy). The cancer is also in pelvic lymph nodes, kidneys and hip bone.
