HI D14
I am so the wrong person to be attempting to answer this question! LOL I am terrified of getting my hair cut, haven't been in a hairdressers since 2019 and have only ever coloured my hair once. I've got very long fine hair and I'm happy to go grey disgracefully. I view the grey hairs as strands of glitter LOL
I did however do a bit of research for you. See the links below:-

I'm supporting my husband through his GBM journey. During the radiotherapy/oral chemo treatment he didn't suffer much hair loss. There was a strip that came out around the area that they targetted with the radiotherapy. It grew back pretty quickly but grew in dark so he had a wee stripe for a while till it all settled back down. He shaves his head most of the time so it didn't really matter to much. His scalp was also quite sensitive and was red and a bit itchy (a bit like sunburn) but they CNS gave him cream to help. In the end we ended up using aftersun (aloe gel) and that did the trick.
Have fun with hair dye. Go bright! Be Bold!
love n hugs

I hope you got advice regarding home coloring your hair. My husband doesn't colour his hair but I want to share with you how his hair has changed since having treatment. On about week 4 of radiotherapy his hair started coming out so I trimmed his hair with a number 2 fitting on our trimmer.. He finished 6 weeks radiotherapy in April. His hair is salt and pepper grey. The area targeted by Chemo had some hair thinning, and resulted in one side of his head has purely white hair and the other side is salt and pepper grey. His hair has grown back with curls at the back of his neck but is still shorter at the top. He is not a vain person, but had invested in a couple of hats at the start of the process. He doesn't use them much because his hair loss/changes doesn't bother him as much as he thought it would.
When I went to hospital with him for his radiotherapy I saw women with beautiful head wraps and decided if it were me, that is what I'd be investing in. One lady had a brown hair wrap, a turban and another lady wore a colour which coordinated with her outfit. There are lots of options to choose from and I hope you find what works best for you.
