I don't have the experience you're looking for but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet.
I've had a look in the group and noticed that when TillyTots65 posted a couple of months ago they mentioned having diabetes. I don't know if it's the same type as you have but I've 'tagged' her into this reply in the hope that they can pop on and share their experience with you.
It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis.
