Hi my father  has stage 4 brain tumour front left lobe he was diagnosed in November 24

his condition was drastically changed this past week, he has lost power in right leg and arm, can’t feed himself, can’t wash himself. How can I access help with personal care like washing and dressing? Where can I start

Thanks

  • What treatments has he had ?

  • Hi Cazza1234

a warm welcome to the group. So sorry to hear about your dad.

The best place to start is to speak to your dad's GP in the first instance. Hopefully they should be able to arrange a care package for him. If you can't speak to the GP then reach out to the oncologist or CNS and I'm hopeful that they would be able to assist here.

If you've seen a big change in his overall condition I would suggest advising the oncologist of the changes you've seen. It might be that they can change his medication and improve the situation a bit.

This is a safe and supportive space so please reach out here anytime. There's always someone about to listen who gets it, someone to hold your hand and to offer a virtual hug when its needed. You're not alone. We've got you.
