I was on Capeticbine only (DPD deficiency) for 6 months, the worst side effect was fatigue.  Gentle exercise can help with that.

Keep yourself well mositurised as it can tend to make you skin a bit dry.

For most people the idea is worse than the actual experience as these days they give you drugs to manage many of the side effects.

Hi Stare5b12b and a warm welcome to the board. Do you know which chemo you’ll be having? As Cerys says, sometimes the thought and reputation of chemo is worse than the actual experience and there are pills and potions to help you with any side effects. You’ll be well looked after and monitored by your chemo team so it’s worth having it for the belt and braces now your tumours been removed.

If you let us know which chemo you’ll be having (capox maybe?) then we can link you into some previous posts and top tips?

i´ve just completed 8 rounds (6 months) of CAPOX....how many rounds have they told you you´ll need? or months?

I'm very lucky, one day every 3 weeks for 3 months
