Hi, I’m new to the Community though I was diagnosed in November 2020. I had surgery in December 2020, Followed by Chemotherapy and then relapsed in June of last year so have had more chemotherapy and currently am having Radiotherapy with Chemotherapy tablets. I am lucky to be quite well otherwise and have coped well with the treatment with minimal side effects.

I am going on a family holiday to Spain soon and would like to get travel insurance. Does anyone know of any company who are prepared to cover people living with cancer?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I hope you don't mind me popping on as I'm not a member of this group but the subject line caught my eye.

You may not be aware but there is a Travel Insurance group which you might like to join. There you'll find recommendations from others who have got travel insurance even though they have a cancer diagnosis.

If you'd like to join the group clicking on the link I've created will take you straight there. Once you've joined look for the thread called 'Recommended Travel Insurance' as that's where the majority of the recommendations are. You might also want to look at this thread as it includes a link to a Travel Insurance Directory.

There are lots of suggestions in the 'Recommended Travel Insurance' thread so it's probably best to make a list and then sit down with a nice cup of tea, other beverages are available, and start working your way through them.

I do hope that you have a lovely holiday
