Hi all, I was diagnosed with colon cancer after colonoscopy 3 months ago and followed up with CT scan. First meeting with surgeon last Monday. Expecting to be admitted for surgery within a few weeks, told it will involve removal of entire ascending colon and 60% of transverse. Have had three months of the emotional rollercoaster to get used to the idea, but any advice appreciated.
Cheers!
Dafydd
Thanks, yes the waiting is difficult. I do understand that the surgery is only step one on the long rollercoaster, and maybe it never really ends, we can never be sure what is going to be round the next bend.
