Well today I am hoping for some kind of treatment plan, they should now have some kinda picture what is going on, fingers crossed.
Has anyone had good immunotherapy response with bowel mets??
Anxiety high as I not sure what they will say about elbow I know it's very rare but hoping they have researched something!!!
3rd time lucky they can stop this cancer
Well back from appointment it's confirmed bowel met on bone left elbow and the nodules bowel, pet scan showed 2 lymp nodes 1 near armpit another chest area.
Plan is tablet chemo daily with infusion 3 weekly for 3 months then scan to see if it's been effective then 3 months more of the same, until that done they won't consider surgeries as they need to treat all areas.
Feel scared in case chemo don't work then there no other options.
Any good outcomes out there much appreciated
Hi Bud 18
That was the plan they gave my mum ! Straight to chemo ! It was looking back the right plan as it worked on the visible and the micro disease . After the chemo then surgery they sent her lymph nodes to pathology and not one single cancer cell was found alive !
How long do you think your elbow has been affected for ?
I know surgery sounds like a good solution right away and but I credit the chemo first approach for my mum in her long term survival!
The systemic aspect of chemo targets all cells !
You will be exhausted today !

Hi Court, my elbow been on going for about 7 months,
In my head yes surgery I was just get it out, now I home I can see the bigger picture, let's target all cells so the chemo is for bowel cancer.
Not worried about feeling ill as I think I just gotta focus on the job its doing
Really appreciate your support Court xxxxx
My mum always spoke about finding her focus . She had to digest each new piece of information, let it sink in then she rallied for the next chapter in treatment. Slowly , sometimes very slowly she kept moving forward and made progress .
Think you are on the same chemo as she had . You are significantly younger and probably much better at staying hydrated !
That was half of my mum’s problem on chemo !
It can be very effective ! It was actually amazing seeing the before and after scans !
We are here each step of the way and a third of people get only very mild symptoms !
Take care and I hope you get over for a good sleep tonight !
