Newbie looking to support my parents

Welcome to the forum . We are always around to support and chat things through although I am sorry to hear about your dad . 
If you click on my user name you can read my mum’s journey in handling a stage 4 diagnosis. This site has certainly helped us over the years .

Hope he gets some more information on his neck issues . Sounds as though they would have a good plan in place if required . 
Be good to sort his pain out quickly . How is he keeping in general ? It gives you a shock to hear it has spread but hopefully they will be able to keep things stable .

sorry I’ve only just seen this.  It’s been up and down for about 10 weeks now. Two weeks ago dads lungs had to be drained of fluid and we think they are full again. I feel like we only have days/weeks left. He is a shell of himself, frail and skinny and it’s just no life for him. He sleeps 20 out of 24 hours

I am utterly devastated. Today I told my 12 year old that her beloved Grandad was back in hospital and no further treatment will get rid of the cancer. She said very little but was very cuddly tonight. 

it is so overwhelming some days that I literally cannot breath and then I panic. I keep hoping I’ll wake up snd it’s just a bad dream.
