I was making good progress but after 6 weeks I made the mistake of doing too much. I lifted something heavier than I should and I walked 2 miles+. Ever since I’m had sharp pains on my right side by my ribs. My doctor didn’t seem very concerned. Paracetamol help but it’s been going on for more than two weeks now. Hoping it might resolve itself? Any suggestions? Thanks.
Hi Erbarb
I replied to your post in New to the Community directing you to this group so I'm sorry to see that you haven't had any replies yet. Responding to you here will 'bump' your post back to the top of the discussion list again.
I wondered if you followed my suggestion of speaking to your hospital team about the pain you're in?

Thanks Latchbrook, I took half a Senocot on Monday night and after it did its work on Tuesday I began to feel a lot better so I held off phoning the colorectal nurse. I’m wondering if I had a bit of a blockage even though I was passing poo most days? I felt slightly gripey in my lower abdomen yesterday but after going to the loo this morning that’s gone too. The sharp pains have almost disappeared and I’m hopeful that I might have turned a corner. Thank you for your help. I’ve had a bit of a tough time as I’ve had BPPV through all of this (which has also just been resolved) and in early January I ended up in A&E with a kidney infection and sat on a chair for 27hours before a bed was found. So I am very relieved to be feeling so much better today!
