I don’t have a big garden but this is the last of my self grown crops ! Definitely try more peas next year !
What a week but life is like that and we will roll forward into another week .
I am off to watch my oldest son do his first half marathon in memory of his papa and he has raised nearly £1000.
Run well son !
Granny wanted to come too but she is banned . No chance is she catching a chest infection . She is a little disappointed!
What are you all up to ?

Oh Wellspring
Covid is a real pain.
I hope that the medication works well for you.
Wishing you a speedy recovery
Best wishes

Well, I'm chuffed with myself! Stiff, but pleased! I managed to get a PB at the parkrun (walk) yesterday! Managed to knock about 50 sec off!!!! Not in your boy's league, court (very very well done to him!) but an achievement for me! I wasn't tail walker this time which helped, as I could walk at my own pace, with Tangle.
Rang about the jabs, and the Sat they are doing them, is the one I am working with my trade stand. Typical. The rest of October could be worked round it. Need to ring later this week to see if there are any other days.
Nice weather here, but Scotland is suffering so hope you all are safe up there.
Edit. It was 46 sec still good!!
Well done Gemmary that’s nearly a minute off your PB. My arm has just about recovered from my jab. Do they not have a walk-in that you can go to like a local pharmacy or Boots? Having said that my local pharmacy wasn’t mentioned on the NHS walk-in site but just had a sign in the window x
Kareno62 Was that for the covid jab? Can get the flu most times at the surgery I think, its just they need to batch it for the covid.
Just realized this afternoon that my friends on here are the only ones likely to appreciate my parkwalk achievement, as the real friends seem to have drifted away over the last few years. Sad times.
Hi Gemmary. Yes I had both done at the same time - 1 in each arm! I’m sorry to hear that you feel your friends have drifted away over the last few years. I find that some friends drift away over time and circumstance like work friends but I have a couple of friends that I’ve had since my late teens and although we maybe only meet up once a year I know they’re always there. My closest friend is probably one I made on the bowel cancer uk board who was diagnosed at the same time and we text every day. You could always reach out to your old friends and suggest a meet up if you wanted? If not you know we’re always here for you x
Hi Gemmary
Well done you . So proud of your accomplishments. You have inspired me . Since mum’s last hospital trip I just feel weak and exhausted but seeing what you achieved has given me a push .
Friendships can have their challenges that’s for sure and well done you for trying . They are missing out on one of the more considered members of society who is incredibly thoughtful. Not many around so I hold tightly to the good ones .
I am fortunate in many regards with some lovely friends but loyalty and effort are things I value but not everyone does and sometimes it surfaces . I actually quite enjoy some time on my own as I rarely get it and will happily take myself off for a solo coffee or walk . Bliss . I sometimes just enjoy being out and about on my own but in the mix .
I admire you reaching out to them but hope you find different ones !
Sometimes you have to take a step to the side and move on in this life .
Better ones await you .
Take care ,

It’s a first for me but I am helping build a kitchen . Big Lego set really and we have three units constructed . Thankful it’s a small kitchen . The things we do for our children . Also completed most of the painting .
Mum is hopefully back on treatment this week . Still out most days but we are building in rest days too now . She is listening to her body .
Had a big family gathering on Sunday . Asked everyone if they would not be offended but to skip the hugging as a lot are travelling and you know this time of year as the germs surface . They were super considerate and even did covid tests . Ten minutes in mum was holding hands and cheek to cheek with her beloved niece but claims it was not a cuddle . I give up !

Great update on your mum court. Hope that you’re having some mild weather up there we are blessed with sun today though could change if I put washing out
I have to share something with you guys.
As you probably know my bro lives in Spain and has recently undergone more treatment for a return of prostate cancer I’ve had my fair share of treatment over the last three years and my hubby well let’s just say the NHS have been working hard with him
Anyway my bro FT yesterday and asked us both to sit. We thought that it was bad news well we were wrong
He’s booked the five of us that’s my sis her hubby and us on a med cruise leaving Barcelona. He paid for everything. They drinks package, a balcony even booked our rooms together
He said let’s all have a family holiday together before we die
we did laugh very loudly
I’m so excited you wouldn’t believe. I’ve never been in a cruise so it’ll be a wonderful experience and we will be visiting a different country every day
Just wanted to share something good for a change.
Ann
