I don’t have a big garden but this is the last of my self grown crops ! Definitely try more peas next year !
What a week but life is like that and we will roll forward into another week .
I am off to watch my oldest son do his first half marathon in memory of his papa and he has raised nearly £1000.
Run well son !
Granny wanted to come too but she is banned . No chance is she catching a chest infection . She is a little disappointed!
What are you all up to ?
Court
Court you put me to shame for I have a big garden and the only thing flourishing are weeds. I find it so hard to work out there. I used to spend a day and love every minute now I’m breathless putting my wellies on
I’ve got a cold/flu or the dreaded. Keeping my temperature down with paracetamol and ibuprofen, my coughs racking so my poor hubby and cat are having sleepless nights I’m testing for Covid as well as I was notified that as I am vulnerable I can have a RESCUE Remedy
Quite fancy being rescued if I’ve got Covid so I will keep on testing and keep you up to date
Ann
Hi Court
This has been a bit of a year so far. Chemo in January, major surgery in May, radiotherapy in August. We’ve been trying to stay active. Our holiday in Mallorca has been a wonderful recuperative experience. And we’ve gradually extended our walks in duration and challenge. Yesterday, we climbed up into the hills, along an old donkey track. It was inspirational.
Next month will take us to 5 years since stage 4 diagnosis. The treatments have taken their toll, but have given us time. And now giving us life. So very grateful.
Well done to your son, Court. A super achievement. Granny & Papa will be proud.
We "flitted" earlier this week so still unpacking ( in theory anyhow - a bit fed up with it today). We have inherited a lovely garden with a small greenhouse so tomatoes are being planned for next year. Could do with a couple of dry days to get the grass cut. It's sunny but a bit chilly. I always thought that the west was meant to be warmer, not so sure now.
Heading off out for a wander round the neighbourhood to see what we can see.
Ann - I hope your cough improves. It must be exhausting. I had to sit up half the night with our cat. We just brought him here yesterday and need to keep him in with it being a new area. He's very nocturnal and is always out at night so wasn't best pleased - and made sure we knew about it!.
Take care all
Xx
Hi Wellspring
So pleased to read you are on holiday and increasing your walks . What a year you have had . It was relentless at points yet you persevered . Someone asked me the other day how mum got through this I whilst I can’t account for many aspects this quality certainly is part of it . The ability to bounce back and try again . Keep healing in those beautiful walks and regain your strength .
You are heading into the Five year Gang ! What an accomplishment and I wish you many more .
How was your wander ? A house move is a biggie . No wonder you are fed up of it all .
I bought trailing Toms for our very small green house . One I just put outside the back door plus two larger ones and I got twenty tomatoes a day roughly . Now I know they worked outside the back door too I will add another there next year . I love growing things but like gardening I really don’t know what I am doing but enjoy trying .
Is the house needing anything done to it or are you able to relax and enjoy once the boxes are done ?
Not sure I could do that ! What an amazing photo and a lovely way to spend your special time .
My friend said let’s not buy each other any more presents . Let’s go for experiences now . We have enough things .
Now I am Thinking what to do .
Good on you for signing up . I think these challenges are great for self development too .
My big boy is built to run . Tall and slim although he is broadening out . I had a ball watching and encouraging all the runners . Especially those running for causes . My sister and I lost our voices especially when I saw my big boy striding it out . A big smile broke out over his face when he saw all the cousins and aunties there to support him . My dad would have thought it was marvellous. A special day and special memories of dad . He raised nearly £1000 too .
I did feel a little embarrassed. I love a race but I was like the over enthusiastic mum at the school races !
Have a good day . We are having some beautiful weather to lite up trees as they change colour .
Mum is doing so well . Thought she was dizzy and off so was worried but was so relieved it was the side effects of the antibiotics.
Take care ,
Court

I had a positive Covid test and after many phone calls my GP said that the anti viral was stopped as it didn’t show it benefited
Funnily enough a member from the lung cancer group said that her father had it a couple of weeks ago and it really helped
Maybe his blood cancer makes him eligible
Im not sure why they wrote to me telling me to contact my surgery to get treatment when my surgery knew nothing about it and my lung cancer team the same
Very odd
Ann
Sorry about the covid.I do hope you start to improve soon.
Andrew ,My husband had leukaemia a number of years ago and was initially told to apply for the antivirals if needed. But then recieved a letter saying it had been stopped.
Who knows whats happening!!!!
Kath
Thanks Kath
I wish they’d sent me that letter too I wasted a lot of peoples time My surgery were quite supportive so that did give me a boost
I did feel like a freud as I was talking on the phone breathless and coughing but able I wanted to make sure that my hubby could have something as he is very vulnerable fingers crossed he’s okay at the moment
I am better that Saturday.
Best wishes
Ann
