Guys I have surgery tomorrow morning and for the past few days I’ve had a sore well not super sore phlegmy throat, you know when you cough to try and clear it well I can’t seem to clear mine, I’ve got no other symptoms and I don’t have covid, I did go down to the beach at the weekend to paddle board so did spend a lengthy time in the sea, could it have been the sea air, past few nights I’ve had my fan on rotate full pelt, could that be drying my throat out or could it be the zapain I’ve recently started taking again because my period pains were unbearable, do you think my operation could be cancelled even though I feel completely fine?
Thanks again guys
Vicky
Hi VJS1985. It could be caused by any of those reasons but it will be the surgical team that decide whether to go ahead with the operation or not. I had a chat with the anaesthetist before my op and he would be able to discuss this with you. Could you give your colorectal support nurse a ring today and run it past them?
Take care
