Diagnosed and waiting for surgery

Hi all, I was diagnosed with colon cancer after colonoscopy 3 months ago and followed up with CT scan. First meeting with surgeon last Monday. Expecting to be admitted for surgery within a few weeks, told it will involve removal of entire ascending colon and 60% of transverse (Right Hemicolectomy plus a bit). Have had three months of the emotional rollercoaster to get used to the idea, but any advice appreciated. (copied this from the Hello page).

I had the same op in October. Extended right hemicolectomy

it was a successful op and I recovered quickly and was back at work 2 weeks later.
