I had rectal cancer and had to have my anus and rectum removed. I had lots of setbacks including blockages, fistulers and infections. I had a six year roller coaster of issues to do with my Stoma. I also developed chronic kidney disease
Saying this I've had no physical issues for the past five years or so.
Unfortunately covid was the catalyst that triggered a lot of difficult emotions and I now suffer with acute anxiety and depression.
I wasn't prepared for psychological problems. I would say seek help early if you have issues and continue to struggle emotionally.

I feel for you and have felt so fed up with this Covid that we are all so aware of. It’s stopped us actually enjoying just the normal stuff.
I haven’t seen my Irish Grandchildren since Christmas 2019.
To be honest I’m going to Ireland just after Christmas this year if I have to swim there.
you take care
best wishes
