I have just finished 8 cycles of chemo oral capecitebane. I had my 'last call' today from the wonderful nurse at the Whittington hospital in London. I will still remain in their care for the next five years, but for now, I am done. I was so emotional. It has been such a roller-coaster, to receive a colon cancer diagnosis, right after covid and a very intense lockdown. I know there are so many others on here, who are going through the same thing. That same feeling of not knowing, not fully understanding and utter shock. This very website from my first point of contact, to try and understand this big "C". And to reach out for advice and kind support.

My diagnosis has changed me in ways that are very hard to describe. I do know I have come out of it all stronger, yet somehow a softer, person. I just live for each day and yes it sounds so cheesy to say, but each day is there to be cherished. I hope wherever you are in your treatment, you remember that you can get through this and I hope you can find the energy and will to keep fighting the good fight.

Lots of virtual hugs to all those on this journey. I wish you all the best XX
