Hi All,

Just wondered if anyone else has experienced blood after urination? No Pain

Its been happening since march not constant just about 6 occasions now

I have had urine tests twice and no infection.

I had a MRI last week just waiting for results and I have a cystoscopy booked for next week.

But I cant help but worry that my cancer may be back as secondary Bladder /ureter/kidney cancer.

as all my symptoms lead me to think it may be

lots of love

  • Hi JuieH247,

That is a bit un-nerving isn't it, I am not surprised you are concerned but I wouldn't self diagnosis it yet and wait for the results after your tests.

I had my LAR two years ago this months and the reversal one year ago. About three weeks ago I was having a pee and out popped a jelly lump of blood. Rather disconcerting! I had a urine test and there was no infection, they sent it off to a lab as well and I am waiting to be told officially but the receptionist read the result as ok. It hasn't happened since. My specialist nurse had it down as something left over from a previous issue but not entirely a satisfactory answer. It hasn't happened since.

By chance I am due a two year check next month and will look forward to the results of the blood test and CT scan and hope they don't show anything.

I hope that your test results are ok and they find an innocent answer to your problem.

    All the best  John

  • Hi John,

    thank you for your reply,

you can’t help but worry and jump to conclusions. I get so tired even first thing in the morning after a good nights sleep.

I had quite a large operation November 2019 and reversal March this year. My stomach is understandably still sore at times.
    thank you again Julie

    Love and prayers to you

  • Hi

You have done the right thing getting your bladder checked out . There is also a condition called interstitial cystitis. It causes bleeding but no infection and requires a different approach. I have had it a few times so other things do cause the bladder to bleed but not due to infection  ! It gave me quite a fright ! Holiday travels seem to trigger it !

Hope you get some answers to relieve this stress soon !

All the best with your investigation.
