Here we go ! We have arrived in Sep! For all new people this thread is just for taking a moment out to say “Hi” tell us how you feel , what you have been up to or show us your creations etc !
Having sat for an hour in the cold at a particular location waiting for the moon to rise over a set rocks, we gave up and headed back ! I the car we noticed the moon in quite a different location in the night sky ! However you got to make be best of everything and stayed outside as the sky was amazing and look what showed up ! It was visible to the eye but needed the lens to show the green ! So that’s a first for me and a bit rare I think in the summer !
It was the one thing I wanted to see !!
Felt a bit strange afterwards !
Sun is out here so the washing is on !
Have a good day !

That’s a fantastic effort Katz51 great to share what got you through treatment. I did a bit of knitting during covid ! Having something productive to do is a great idea !
Do you think the knitting helped with the neuropathy recovery ?
Gemmary I like that . Quite like a bit of a cosy environment! September has been kind but today it has changed here , windy and wet ! Looked out the window and saw a tree surgeon practically upside down but they got finished before the weather changed !
A neighbour has just told me there are otters in our tiny burn ! Like the sound of it but not in reality ! Must keep the back door shut ! I did have one about twenty years ago! We have been hearing something through the night and thought one of the neighbours was knocking the door ! Someone further up the street had the same and went out with a torch !
So new wee residents!
Take care ,

Yey, just had a reminder pop up that 2 years ago I was 20/30 through chemo!! Time flies, well sometimes!
Not sure which way the covid numbers are going, but I'm expected back at school on Monday. I can only try it and see.
Anyone else enjoying this Indian summer? Makes a real change after the wet August. Long may it continue!!

Hi Gemmary
Loving it ! Sitting outside reading! Can’t believe we are heading into October and the weather has been wonderful. Not needing a second invite to enjoy it ! Walking along the beaches with hot gentle breezes is such a treat at this time of year !
Yesterday the kids were heading into the water fully clothed ! No one was stopping their fun ! It was so funny !
Hope you have all had a good weekend !

Well done on completing your chemo !
Are they back to doing in person meetings now? . It is always good to get that appointment over and done with ! So much waiting around . A lot of other countries let patients access them on line and I like that approach purely as it gives you time to digest it and ask relevant questions ! Even if it was only for people who wished that approach! But I think when you are more familiar with the specialty it’s a good way forward !
Hope it’s good news and you can put this part behind you !
How long does it normally take in your area to get results back ?
Nature is beautiful. Keeps you grounded !

Thank you so much Court. Here in dublin, it’s either a phone call or a visit to see the specialist. Covid is so ever changing and every day seems a different rule, a visit to see a consultant cost €150 to €250 a visit. You are blessed blessed to have your NHS. Here having private insurance is nearly a must.
Well, torrential rain has replaced the sun, oh well, October tomorrow.
Well done, , for finishing your chemo, hope the scan results are both quick and good!
Some good news. Brother has had biopsy results, and all was contained, yipee, and his PSA is 0.04, any thing below 0.1 is good! What a relief!
Daughter has finished her life lesson, being part of a jury. Now she can get back to uni after her mri on Monday for her knees, to check all is well after the operation last year.
School on Monday was uncomfortable to start with, got slightly better but still... Will try again next Monday and see. Numbers are going up in the area, quite significantly but at some point I've got to get used to it. Got my covid booster next Thursday, so hopefully that will help the old brain!!
Lit the fire tonight for the first time, so lovely and warm.
. Not a very good picture , but you get the idea!!!
Stay safe all.
Hello Gemmary, I’m so delighted for your brother. All those numbers are so good. Well done to him. It’s great your daughter did her jury duty. It’s truly a lesson in life. It wouldn’t surprise me if your daughter might say “mum I think I might train to be a barrister”
she is a great girl heading off to uni.
I put the fire on this evening. TV saying how many days to Christmas...
yes I’m hoping my scan will be clear. The surgeon said he didn’t foresee any problems. It was he who wanted the 3 rounds of chemo. I was lucky to meet a gentleman. So I’m hanging on his words. Made a Christmas cake, can’t beat good housekeeping magazine for their recipes.
thank you for thinking of me xxx
