Hi started cycle 2 on Monday.. feeling tired Zzz!! And mood isn’t a good a last week, I’ve to get ct scan next week as plural effusion wasn’t changed much , praying it’s just fluid as they have sd all along ! Does the tiredness change at all ? Had tumour removed in March and 26 lymph nodes clear

so lucky but nervous about lung ct scan.. what if it’s spread ...

Hi Stomagirl. Strangely enough cycle 2 was the worst for me that is when my fingers got all puffy and painful red and sore! I  like to think my walking combatted the low energy as it left me feeling energized during the day lol. Remember I do have a 13 year old and a 9 year old boy so they keep me really busy I'm used to doing a lot eek. Happy weekend sun is out!

One more week of cycle 2 meds then week off so hopefully I’ll turn a corner, that’s gRofld you have kids to keep you busy, I had grandsons,3boys, over and was pretty done by home time RoflRofl , it’s not so sunny in Scotland Flag black but dry so that’s a winner

    Hello Stomagirl,

Like you, my diagnosis was a surprise/shock! I collapsed in the street and taken by ambulance to hospital. Discovered that I was anaemic. Had blood transfusion and iron infusion and thought that was the end of it. Until they investigated  cause of aneamia...colonoscopy revealed the cancer. Again I thought they had caught it early on but like you biopsy revealed T3/4 tumour. I have more or less spent the last five days lying down  with stomach pain ( I am such a wimp!)  I am hoping today to be pain free and to be able to get up and go out and to feel 'normal'.

Four days left of tablet taking and then a week off...whooppee! Did you feel different/better in that week off before second treatment?

Hope the CT scan goes okay for you. Pleased that you are starting daily walks again, I always feel so much better in the fresh air and the exercise  just so beneficial, love being in the countryside  and enjoying nature in all its glory at this time of year.

Take care and hope the stoma is not too arduous....?

    Hello StomagirlI

I had my second treatment on Wednesday. Have to say after 45 minutes the infusion became very painful. he first time it was okay and felt a little bit of discomfort during the second hour. No problem  with the throat so far but cannot go anywhere the fridge and cold food has to be warmed to room temperture! I think this will ease in a  few days. Feelling so tired and without energy. Did go for a walk this morning and had hoped to go out again but stomach pains returned again and having to rest. Was so hoping to get medication to sort out my IBS and  hihatus hernia but hopeful in time it will get sored. How ar you doing?

Hey Catsski I’m doing ok , I’m on tablets capecitabine at home , on cycle 3 now, but always a but lol having to go to hospital on Thursday to get a fluid ball checked out possibly post op stuff but they want to drain it as it’s causing pain and intermittent temp so I can’t risk it becoming infected ,so the rollercoaster goes on , ct scan showed clear lungs but this fluid and a lesion on my liver ? Again poss infection or more cancer ! So mri to happen in next few weeks , so we warriors keep on fighting!!

  • They will take very good care of you . We are very fortunate with our service here !

The liver is notorious for benign lesions so hoping that’s all it is .
My mum has seen off ten liver lesions with the help of the specialist unit In Edinburgh. We have good resources at our disposal but hopefully you will never have to step foot in the place .

Hope you have enjoyed this lovely weather !

    Take care ,
