Anxiety awaiting results & plan

Hi all, hope you are all doing well, the best you can do under your circumstances.   I posted just over a week ago in relation to my mums diagnosis of a recral tumour.  Since then she’s had two further scans including a  PET, she is to hear to results tomorrow or next week following mdt meeting.     We were advised a small spot was seen on her liver, also lung.  They said this may not be a spread, however they are treating it as suspicious.    This next update / results, feels so scary as it could mean things are worse than we thought, hopefully this is not the case. My mums kept such a positive but realistic mindset.     Iv read many similar situations, however many different outcomes & outlooks, even though the diagnosis was similar on each case. Some more positive & hopeful than others.   My mum was told that they would possibly start with therapy to try to reduce the rectal tumour before surgery, however nothing was mentioned as to any potential treatment / approach to the other spots if they were anything sinister.     I am also very worried incase anything else important was not seen on the original CT & MRIs.   (These did detect the two small spots)  The latest ones PET & MRI were a lot longer in duration.  It’s been 2 weeks since the initial diagnosis, and the provisional plan then was quite vague with lots of question marks relating to / depending on the scan results. I am just feeling sick with anxiety & worry as I’m sure the feeling is well known to you all.  Reading other peoples stories & advise has been so helpful.
Can anyone please share any insight, or experiences? I’m so sorry to you all going through your own unfortunate experience & wish you all the warmest of wishes.   Many thanks  in advance.
