Hello everyone,
I have rectal cancer & am having treatment oxiplatin intravenously & Capecitabine tablets.
I had been struggling with blockages & ended up in hospital twice the second time I had an emergency temporary Ileostomy stoma with a pouch which I am learning to adjust to.
Due to being in hospital I had to come off my medication. But am starting it again on Thursday.
I don't if anyone else out there is in the same situation as me.
Would love to hear from you.
Kind regards
Rainbow Sky
Hi Rainbow sky and a warm welcome to the board. Sounds like you’ve had a rough time so far but hopefully the ileostomy will make life much easier for you. Good to hear that you’re learning to cope with it - there’s lots of support on the board below if you want any advice or tips?

Theres some great thoughts and experience of this recent thread about capox but feel free to start your own if you’ve a particular concern that’s not covered?
Hope the future sessions go a bit better
Take care
