I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2017,  initial meeting did indeed give me options,  surgery and preparation for possible stoma

I was discharged by oncology December 2022... Final colonoscopy clear... Posting from Canary Islands..... hopefully all will go well with your son's treatment.

He has had his results and it hasn't spread so chemo or radiotherapy to shrink it before surgery 

Hi Rosie13 No spread is good news. Radiotherapy is usually given alongside a mild dose of chemo in tablet form and can be very successful at shrinking the tumour

His lymph nodes are enlarged 

The lymph nodes could be helped by the chemoradiotherapy or they may suggest some chemo prior to surgery. Focus on the chemoradiotherapy for now and then they’ll scan again after it’s finished x
