Waiting for Biopsy result

My biopsy was sent for analysis over 3 weeks ago (after the endoscopy nurse said the colon lesions which were found were likely cancerous). Is this not a very long time to wait for a result or is it normal? If it is not back within 4 days from now it will be a month since the procedure and then I have to wait another week before my case is discussed at a weekly meeting.

Hi, i always chase my biopsy resuts up daily after 2 weeks. They can get lost, ignored or simply forgotten. I hope this is not the case for you but we have to take some responsablity ourselves they are busy. I would phone all who are involved in your treatment and find out whats happening

Thank you for your thoughts they are appreciated. I have called the team several times to ask if the results are in. The biopsies are outsourced and they have no control over any expediency. They appreciated my concerns and anxiety but can do nothing but wait for the result.
