It seems such a long time since I was told I had bowel cancer (11 months ago). I had a colostomy and then five weeks of chemo/radio therapy. Now I have a date for a Hartman's procedure on the 4th Nov. Such a relief. It all moves so slowly. Now crossing my fingers to hope they don't postpone it.
Good news I have a provisional date of 7th Jan for my op with a fallback of the 14th in case an emergency takes the bed.
Excellent Bearwidower
Such good news to know you are now scheduled in a theatre list . I like that they also have a back up plan . Probably much more realistic just now .
You can relax for a few weeks now you know the plan .

Had my Hartmanns as scheduled. Came home two days ago. I have a significant cavity under the old stoma wound so daily dressings from district nurses. Leaning to train my stoma all over again. But overall feelling well.
