Feeling sick

I have just been diagnosed with a malignant rectal tumour.  I have been having symptoms for about 2 months, although it could be longer because I have IBS.

My new symptoms are rectal bleeding in stools,  sometimes maroon colour but mostly red. I've gone from very loose to more solid but thin stools. But another new symptom is feeling sick. It's worse in the evening and first thing in the morning.  Has anyone else had these symptoms? Because I do not know my cancer grading yet, I am worried this is already advanced.

My symptoms included going to toilet numerous times a day the one day I went 11 times! Sometimes there was blood sometimes not! My stools were formed but loose. This was due to the blockage in my bowels. I did loose weight but I wasn't alarmed because I was Tring to eat healthier! I didn't have much of an appetite which I still don't tbh I just know that to enable my bowels to get back to some normality I need to eat! I've not been told my grading but tbh I didn't ask as to me cancer is cancer and I just wanted to know it was curable and what was going to be done! Personally this helped me mentally!!

    Take care

  • Thank you Pauline. I too go far more, some days are worse than others. I like to walk but I have been nearly cut short so many times now I am reluctant to go for a walk.

Haha oh yes I know that problem!! Even going for appointments have been issues! I just had to hope and pray that I could get where I needed to be without needing to go to toilet until I got there!! It was stressful!! Since having the rectal resection I have to make sure I have high fibre diet to help me go regularly to stop pains.
